Gerald “Mr. BPOZ” Mayes is a former U.S. Marine turned graduate of the Professional Fitness Institute’s certification program where he earned the bootcamper of the week award. He also participated in the Associate’s Degree boot camp by way of Pinnacle career Institute, where he received his Associates degree in personal training. Gerald Also Earned his bachelor’s Degree in Public Health from the American Pulbic/Military University, and is currently studying for his Masters in Sport and Health Science with an emphasis in Human Performance.
He currently holds Personal training certifications with the american Counsel on Exercise (ACE) where he holds a Master Trainer Certification and travels the United States teaching ACE Curriculum. Gerald also holds a certification with the national strength and conditioning association (NSCA), and sits on the Nevada State Advisory Board for the NSCA. In addition to these certifications Gerald is also a CPR/AED instructor and a faith and fat loss representative.
Gerald works side by side with some of the leading obesity research foundations in america such as Jump for joy Foundation, Childrens Fitness Foundation, and the P.A.T.H. Foundation where he currently sits on the board of directors and is the Director of Physical Activity. Obesity is an important issue in gerald’s career because he once suffered from it weighing in at close to 300lbs. Being obese is what ultimately pushed him into becoming a relevant figure in the health and wellness industry.
